We are excited to announce our expansion into North Lincolnshire!
The North Lincolnshire R-evolution Cycle Hub is funded by the Community Renewable Fund via North Lincolnshire council.
As well as its accredited training offer, the Cycle Hub also delivers cycle maintenance workshops and taster sessions, teaching people of all ages how to undertake basic cycle maintenance such as mending a chain or fixing punctures. The team also offers Bike Libraries to groups, schools, businesses and communities, loaning cycles to people for pleasure, to improve fitness, health and wellbeing, or to access work, education or training. Our 'Dr Bike' sessions can be booked for community events, for businesses, schools, colleges and groups, providing basic cycle repairs by qualified cycle mechanics. In North Lincolnshire we take donated bikes, which, where possible, will be repaired by Cycle Hub Trainees. These can be donated at Normanby Hall Country Park during opening hours, and at the R-evolution Cycle Hub, Scunthorpe Central, Carlton Street, Scunthorpe between the hours of 9am and 4pm, Monday to Thursday only. |

Training. We are training people from 16+ years old living in the North Lincolnshire area in Scunthorpe with City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Cycle Mechanics accredited qualification. This is delivered 2 days a week over a 12 week period. Trainees are supported with life coaching and vocational skills through the Employability Passport. We run a professional workshop environment so trainees get to learn in a workplace not in a classroom environment.

Life Coaching. The employability passport is designed to recognise, show and record skills developed by trainees in order to help them move into employment, further education or more training.
It is worked on throughout the training programme where all staff and trainees are encouraged to utilise the passport. It covers the following areas: Self-Management, Teamwork, Business and Customer Awareness, Application of Digital Technologies, Communication and Literacy, Applications of numbers, and Problem Solving. |
