Welcoming New Faces to the R-evolution Community
On a sunny Monday morning at the Cottingham Hub, our team opened the doors for something more than bike repairs or workshop hours — we opened a space for connection, curiosity, and community.
The Volunteer Open Day ran from 10:30am to 12:30pm and welcomed visitors from all walks of life who were interested in lending their time and skills. With the kettle on and volunteers ready to chat, it wasn’t long before the room filled with energy.
Some visitors were curious about mechanics. Others asked about joining our horticulture team, supporting events, or even helping with admin. No matter the interest, what united them was a shared desire to make a difference.
Real Stories, Real Roles, Real Impact
Our current volunteers were on hand to answer questions and share honest reflections about their time with us — from learning technical skills to feeling part of something meaningful.
For many, volunteering had brought more than just routine — it had brought confidence, new friendships, and the satisfaction of seeing how their efforts made a visible impact. Whether it’s fixing bikes for families or helping at a local event, the contribution of our volunteers is what keeps the wheels turning at R-evolution.
If you couldn’t make it on the day, don’t worry — our door is always open. Whether you’re looking to build skills, connect with others, or support a greener, more active community, we’d love to hear from you.
