We were delighted to celebrate Alfie’s recent achievement, having received formal recognition from the Youth Justice Service for the outstanding progress he has made while training with us.

Alfie joined our workshop several months ago and quickly threw himself into the hands-on learning experience. From day one, he has been developing practical cycle mechanics skills — getting his hands dirty repairing, servicing and rebuilding bikes — while steadily working towards his Level 1 City & Guilds Qualification in Cycle Mechanics.

What makes Alfie’s journey particularly special is the growth we’ve seen beyond technical skills. Through structured training, routine and supportive mentoring, Alfie has built confidence, focus and pride in his work. His positive attitude, strong character and willingness to learn have made him a valued member of the workshop team, and it has been fantastic to watch him grow in both ability and self-belief.

The recognition from the Youth Justice Service is a powerful endorsement of Alfie’s hard work and commitment, as well as the value of practical, skills-based training in creating positive outcomes for young people. Our programmes are designed to provide real-world experience, accredited qualifications and a supportive environment where individuals can thrive, particularly those who may benefit from alternative routes into education and employment.

We are incredibly proud of Alfie and the progress he continues to make. His success is a reminder of what’s possible when young people are given the right tools, guidance and opportunities to succeed.

👏 Well done, Alfie — keep up the fantastic work!
