East Coast Fund Wind Turbine Funding
The East Coast Community Fund has generously provided support for the Northeast Lincolnshire Community Cycle Hubs located in Grimsby and Immingham. This funding has significantly enhanced the project’s capacity, enabling R-evolution to expand its offerings in several key areas.
With the East Coast funding, we have been able to increase the availability of bicycles, improve our bike repair services, and enhance training and management support for participants. This investment not only allows us to serve a larger number of community members but also ensures that the quality of our services meets the needs of those we aim to assist.
Importantly, the support from the East Coast Fund plays a crucial role in the long-term sustainability of the cycle hubs. By bolstering our resources and capabilities, we are well-positioned to ensure that these hubs not only survive but thrive, fostering a vibrant cycling culture within the community and promoting active transportation as a viable and beneficial option for local residents.

Equans
Equans has played a pivotal role in supporting the early development of the Northeast Lincolnshire Cycle Hubs. Their funding was instrumental in launching the project and establishing essential community workshop assets that serve as the foundation for its ongoing success.
This financial support has enabled the project to distribute a greater number of bicycles to the public, provide necessary parts for bike repairs, and equip the workshop with essential tools. Without Equans’ support, the Northeast Lincolnshire Cycle Hubs would have faced significant challenges in achieving their current level of impact within the community. Their contribution has been vital in ensuring the project’s viability and sustainability, allowing it to effectively serve the needs of local residents and promote cycling as a key mode of transportation.

UKSPF NEL Council
North-East Lincolnshire Council served as the primary funder and key supporter of the North-East Lincolnshire Community Cycle Hubs. Their funding provided the essential financial foundation needed to establish and grow the project into a successful and impactful initiative. This support enabled R-evolution to forge long-term partnerships in both Grimsby and Immingham, fostering a collaborative effort to promote cycling in the community.
In combination with funding from Equans and the East Coast Fund, we have been able to create two outstanding community cycle hubs, each equipped with newly built workshops and fully functional cycle repair facilities. These hubs have become vital community resources, regularly receiving donated bikes that are refurbished and recycled back into the local area. This model not only meets immediate community needs but also ensures the long-term sustainability of the project, providing ongoing opportunities for cycling access and engagement across Nort- East Lincolnshire.

UKSPF Hull
Sport England has provided valuable support to R-evolution across several projects over the past six years. Most recently, they have backed an initiative aimed at empowering local individuals to become more confident and experienced cyclists.
As part of this project, R-evolution will be bringing cycling activities directly to the streets of Hull, making it more accessible and addressing barriers that may prevent community engagement. To facilitate this, we have developed a specially designed cycle ride trailer equipped with all the necessary bikes and tools for effective project delivery.
We are profoundly grateful to the Sport England team for their support, which has been instrumental in enabling R-evolution to successfully implement this initiative and foster a culture of cycling within the community.
